Experience

Mindi Korvenoja started riding at the age of six. Mindi's love for horses and natural horsemanship runs in her blood, as her father Tuomas Korvenoja is one of the most successful Trot trainers and drivers in Europe.

In Finland Mindi was riding successfully on ponies, being part of the national team, and as a junior Mindi took a victory on almost every horse show she participated in.

At the age of 15, Mindi spent one summer helping out and riding horses in the Netherlands at the 7 Hills Horses stable, who back then specialized in Hunters and Equitation horses for the American market.

Mindi's stay in the Netherlands that summer made her future plans very clear, she was determined to get back to central Europe and ride for a living.

At the age of 17 Mindi spent her summer in Northern Germany, riding for Thiess Luther, during this period it was already a count-down for Mindi to graduate school in Finland, and move down south from Finland.

Finally, at the age of 18, Mindi moved to the Netherlands. She gained many friends and got the opportunity to ride and train with trainers who all provided her with important building blocks for her upcoming years.

The first year Mindi spent with 7 Hills Horses in Markelo, whereafter she went to ride for Daan and Niels Nanning in Dalfsen.

After her stay by Stal Nanning, Mindi went on to ride for Stal van Triest, where the Finnish talented rider Julia Jyläs is based.

Due to a small misfortune being kicked by a young-horse, Mindi broke her elbow and moved back to Finland for a 6-month recovery.

After having recovered, Mindi jumped for the first time at Helsinki International Horse Show, whereafter Mindi was hired to ride by Wiljan Laarakkers in Ottersum, the Netherlands.

After nearly 3 years by Stal Laarakkers, and experiences up to 2* Grand Prix level Mindi had a short stop by Stoeterij de Laarseheide whereafter she started riding horses for a German breeder called Joseph Hüpen in Straelen.

In 2012 what started out like a long lost dream of Mindi's parents, Mindi started a 4-year study of International Marketing. At the same time as Mindi applied for school, Stal Hendrix asked Mindi to help ride and maintain horses for the Stal Hendrix auction Dutch Sport Horse Sales. One thing led to another, and Mindi stayed working for Stal Hendrix for almost 5 years.

After graduating in 2016 Mindi decided to take on an "office job" in order to build on her CV and implement her skills obtained during her study.

There was never even the slightest thought or a single option for Mindi to stop riding, but instead of riding full time, Mindi has as of 2012, continuously had horses to ride from various owners, always staying in close contact with the equestrian sport and network.
